Triad Youth Jazz Society

Junior Jazz and Java

The Triad Youth Jazz Society is a program for youth ages 8 to 18, designed to preserve the history of jazz music in our community. Our curriculum, which is centered around the study of jazz history, is the backbone element of the program. Our professional instructors and mentors share a common goal in creating an environment where common courtesy, mutual respect, and appropriate communications skills are fostered. Participating youth are required to attend private music lessons under our music department, learning the theory of jazz music.

Junior Jazz & Java (J3) is the performing group made up of program participants.
